#CommuteTheRow
There are 40 men on the federal death row - and their lives are at stake.
With a temporary federal execution moratorium currently in place, no death sentences can be carried out. But that status could be changed by any future administration.
We have a very real opportunity to convince President Biden to commute the sentences of everyone on the federal death row before he leaves office, but we need to act fast. Can you please add your name to our joint petition urging President Biden to act?
During the last seven months of the previous Trump administration, President Trump executed 13 men and women who were on the federal death row. Many of those executed had intellectual disabilities, serious mental illnesses, and histories of deep trauma, and their legal proceedings were tainted by racial bias, junk science, and other flaws. These deaths also occurred despite calls for mercy from victims’ families and demands for fairness from a broad coalition of Americans across political and faith backgrounds.
Will you please help us urge President Biden to save the lives of the 40 individuals currently on the federal death row by converting their sentences to prison terms?

CALLING ALL FAITH LEADERS
Are you a Georgia Faith leader, or do you know one?
October 10th is World Day Against the Death Penalty.
This year, we are gathering faith leaders (ordained or not) at Central Presbyterian Church (across from the Georgia Capitol) at 9am for a morning of conversation, collaboration, strategic thinking, and action.
This time will be followed by a press conference on the steps of the Georgia Capitol at 12:30pm with Sen Rev Kim Jackson.
We affirm a collective statement of faith:
Twenty-two years on, where are we with death penalty abolition?
We must, and will, end the death penalty.
